Product Overview

The Gausin Fluidized Bed Dryer (FBD) dries wet granules and powders by passing hot air upward through a perforated distributor plate, fluidizing the bed so each particle is surrounded by drying air. This delivers very uniform heat and mass transfer.

Because every particle is gently suspended and individually dried, the FBD avoids local overheating and produces a free-flowing product with tight, repeatable moisture. It is the standard dryer for dairy, many food and chemical powders.

Gausin offers continuous fluid bed dryers (Vibro or static) for high-throughput dairy, food, salt and chemical duties, with GMP execution, explosion safety and CIP options.

How It Works

Charging
Wet granules or crystals are loaded into the bed.

Air Heating
Filtered process air is heated to the set inlet temperature.

Fluidization
Hot air flows up through the distributor, suspending and separating the particles.

Drying
Moisture evaporates from the fluidized particles into the passing air stream.
5
Filtration
Fines are retained by bag filters and periodically shaken back into the bed.
6
Discharge
Once target moisture is reached, the dry product is discharged for the next stage.
