Product Overview

The Gausin Closed Circuit Dryer operates in a sealed loop using an inert gas (typically nitrogen) instead of air. The drying gas is continuously recirculated, condensed to recover the evaporated solvent, reheated and returned to the dryer.

This closed-loop arrangement is essential when the feed is dissolved in an organic solvent, or when the product is oxygen-sensitive, toxic or potentially explosive. It prevents emissions to atmosphere and recovers valuable solvent for reuse.

The system can be built around a spray, fluid-bed or flash dryer core and is supplied with a condenser/scrubber, gas blower, inert-gas make-up and full ATEX-rated instrumentation and safety interlocks.

Closed Gas Loop
Inert gas is recirculated, condensed and reheated in a sealed circuit.
Solvent Recovery
Condenser recovers evaporated solvent for reuse, up to 95%+.
Oxygen-Free Drying
Nitrogen atmosphere protects oxidation-sensitive and explosive products.
ATEX Safety
Explosion-proof design with O2 monitoring and inert make-up.
Zero Emission
No solvent vapour released to atmosphere meets environmental norms.
PLC Automation
Closed-loop pressure, temperature and O2 control with interlocks.

Applications

Solvent Products
Materials dissolved in or wet with organic solvents.
Fine Chemicals
Oxidation-sensitive and specialty chemicals.
Pharma API
APIs and intermediates requiring inert drying.
Explosive Powders
Materials with explosion or dust-fire risk.
Agrochemicals
Solvent-based agro and crop-protection products.

Key Advantages

Solvent Reuse
Recovers costly solvent instead of venting it to atmosphere.
Safe Handling
Inert atmosphere removes oxygen, eliminating fire / oxidation.
Environmentally Clean
Zero solvent emission complies with pollution-control norms.
Explosion Protected
ATEX design and O2 monitoring keep operation within safe limits.
Versatile Core
Built around spray, fluid-bed or flash dryer to suit the product.
Compliant
GMP and CE compliant execution for regulated industries.

How It Works

1
Inert Purge
The loop is purged with nitrogen to remove oxygen before start-up.
2
Heating
The recirculating inert gas is heated to the required drying temperature.
3
Drying
Hot inert gas dries the feed in the spray / fluid-bed / flash chamber.
4
Condensation
Solvent-laden gas passes to a condenser where solvent is recovered.
5
Gas Recirculation
Cleaned, cooled gas is reheated and returned to the dryer in a closed loop.
6
Recovery & Discharge
Recovered solvent is collected for reuse; dry product is discharged.
